Life is full of good things and bad things.
For example:
BAD THING: 3 car accidents in one year
GOOD THING: no injuries
BAD THING: feeling sick a lot
GOOD THING: free (as in I pay for it in tax dollars) health care
BAD THING: my washing machine ruins my clothing
GOOD THING: friends who give me their hand-me-downs
BAD THING: evil nurses who jab IV's into your hand and then struggle for two minutes to find the right spot
GOOD THING: moms who come and wait for 5 hours with you
You get the idea. But what I really want to say is that somehow the smallest good things can make all of the difference. Like the lady who let me and all my children in for free to Heritage Park (it would have cost me $40, which I was happy to spend on fudge - double good thing). And then there's the lady who gave me her extra tickets to the Eureka circus and saved me money again. And I can't forget the time I showed up at my sister-in-laws bawling hysterically over a flat tire and she lent me her cell phone cause I forgot mine, and again, another nice kijiji lady who gave me her sons' old winter coat for free due to the tiniest tear and now I don't have to buy one for $50.
Feeling blessed.
