Peyton had his first official birthday party this year. I let him decide who to invite (I maxed out at 10) and I let him decide the theme (superheros) and what to eat (cupcakes and sticky popcorn aka caramel corn). I spent three days getting ready for this thing. I sewed capes and masks for all the kids, I paper mached and painted a villain, and I created a cave in our basement. And then of course the baking.
Cory even came home early from work on Saturday to be here for the party. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.
For three hours our house was complete chaos. Every activity I thought would last 30 minutes lasted 5, and we were done the whole party (minus cake eating) in an hour.
We were caught so off guard I didn't get any photos!
All in all it was really fun, but next year we are capping off the guest list at 5!
For my birthday I went to the HUNGER GAMES, then to the temple the next day and then to bowling and DQ with friends afterwards. It was a very enjoyable day and feel so spoiled.
Rockwell had some friends over today to celebrate. He slept through most of his party, but woke up just in time to indulge in some cupcakes!

He continued to try and stuff the whole thing in his mouth. He just loved his cupcake. |
