BAD DAYS

Cory and I were asked to participate in the family relations class in our ward. Two weeks ago they showed this video. Some of you have seen it before, but it's always good to see again. So for any of you who have ever had a bad day...here is the link!

JACK UNDER THE KNIFE PART TWO

Anyone remember Jack's surgery from a year ago?
Well, on Tuesday he had the rest of his congenital nevus removed. He did really well...not as good as the first time, but still really well. Here is his wicked wound.

P.S. I just want to vent that my kids have been sick for 8 days now. No one wants to hang out (I don't blame you) and I am tired of taking care of sick kids.....ugh.

This is last years surgery. It's hard to see, but half of the nevus is still there.

I took this last night. This cut is 7 inches long!!! Crazy eh?

HEALTHY APPETITE

I feel like my boys are finally eating! I don't want to jinx it, but I am super excited. They still don't like trying things, and Jack is definitely better at exploring foods, but here is an example of our daily meals. And boy are these boys getting expensive too.

breakfast: 2 bowls of cheerios for breakfast! (adult bowls) one at 7 a.m. when they wake up and then one at 8:30 when I venture down for breakfast.

morning snack: banana, grapes, slice of bread-plain-so weird but that's how they like it.&  yogurt

lunch: two scrambled eggs, cheese, milk, or a grilled cheese sandwich, sometimes I resort back to hotdogs...in which case they eat two each with out buns of course.

afternoon snack: crackers and cheese...maybe popcorn

dinner: rice with soy sauce, meatballs in ketchup and green beans or carrots. this is still by far the hardest meal. And they won't eat anything but carrots and beans for vegetables...

So they're still not eating as healthy as I would like, but at least they are eating more than just hot dogs and cereal.

Tonight I am making a sesame chicken recipe with rice! It's in my crock pot and it smells delicious. I hope the boys like it. They usually eat chicken and this recipe calls for brown sugar so it's sure to be sweet!

SOMETHING ABOUT CHRISTMAS

Well Christmas has come and gone and I didn't post one thing. Ooops. Just in case you were all wondering we did have a wonderful Christmas. Our kids were spoiled and Cory was able to take a week off work. We spent 5 days at the cabin and I enjoyed the unusually warm weather. I would post a pic...but we didn't really take any....ooops again. If any family members would like to donate what they took, we would gladly appreciate it!!!
